A two-vehicle accident on Saturday near Fort Scott leaves two people with minor injuries.

The accident occurred at the intersection of 180th Street and Hackberry Road around 5:15 Saturday evening. A 2013 Hyundai driven by 19-year-old James Schofield of Irving, Texas, had pulled into the intersection after stopping at a stop sign. The vehicle was then struck by Dodge Ram 1500 driven by 58-year-old Ladonna Blanken of Pittsburg. Both Blanken and a passenger in the Hyundai 18-year-old John Denton, also of Irving, were taken to Freeman Hospital in Fort Scott with minor injuries.
