The public is invited to attend the meeting on comment on the budget and the RNR. In other business, commissioners will consider a 30-minute parking stall in the 100 block of West Myrtle, the purchase of a new backhoe for the Water/Sewer Department, and the approval of a new city ordinance to allow the use of ATVs and other utility vehicles for first responders.
The commission will also present a life saving award to an Independence paramedic and a firefighter.
Tonight's meeting begins at 5:30 in the Commission Room at City Hall. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the City's website.
