A Salina middle school teacher is under arrest after being accused of providing alcohol and drugs to students.
Salina Police says the investigation into 47-year-old Amanda Freeman began last weekend after the parents foa 16-year-old student reported suspicious text messages between the student and Freeman. Freeman served as a Language Arts teacher at South Middle School in Salina.
She was booked into the Saline County Jail on Sunday where she faces multiple charges , including aggravated child endangerment, distribution and possession of marijuana, and furnishing alcohol to a minor.
Police say other juvenile may have been involved in the case and the investigation remains ongoing.
