Parsons Police Donate Funds to PHS Golf Team

The Parsons Police Department donates $500 to help the golf Team at Parsons High School.

Parsons Police Chief Robert Spinks along with several officers from the department were on hand to make the presentation to the PHS golf team on Saturday morning at the Katy Golf Course just prior to the start of the 2nd Annual Guardians of the Green Charity Scramble. The funds come through the Police Legacy Fund and will help the team supply golf clubs and other equipment to high school students who want to join the team but cannot afford to purchase their own clubs.

Saturday’s golf scramble proceeds support P-P-D’s Legacy Fund which, in turn, help funds the department Shop With a Cop program. The tournament also supports the Legacy in Leadership Scholarship through Labette Community College.
