The USD 446 Independence School Board will meet tonight with next year’s budget and the agreement with the City of Independence regarding the Central Park Sports Complex on the agenda.

Independence School Board members will tackle a lengthy agenda at tonight’s meeting including the public hearings for both the revenue neutral rate and the 2026 budget. Board members will also continue the discussion of the proposal from the City of Independence regarding the district’s use of the Central Park Sports Complex. Also on tonight’s agenda are the resignations from several district employees and the approval of employment for more than 40 new hires.

Tonight’s meeting begins at 7pm in the library at Independence High School. The public is invited to attend.
