Baxter Springs Police are warning residents to secure their vehicles after a string of car burglaries in the city.

Police say they are currently working to identify a suspect or suspects in the recent string of thefts. In the meantime, they ask that resident lock their vehicles and that citizens avoid leaving valuables in their cars. Authorities also ask that anyone who has been a victim, to contact police, even if nothing was stolen. This will help investigators track locations and timelines. Residents are also asked to report any suspicious looking individuals who are out late at night when the crimes have occurred. Those with security cameras are asked to check for any video of possible suspects.
