The Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation says a 71-year-old woman missing since August 10th has been found deceased.
A Silver Alert was issued for Patretia Matthews after her vehicle was found abandoned in a rural area of Okmulgee County last month. Familiy members say Matthews was suffering from dementia when she drove off from her Bristow home. County Emergecny Management officials conducted a searh for Matthews using drones, K-9 units, boat operations, and ground crews, but called off their efforts on Auguts 16th after no sign of the woman was found.
Authorities have not yet released the cause of death and O-S-B-I continues to investigate the circumstances surrounding Matthews' passing.
