A street resurfacing project will begin to day in Independence.
Crews will begin a mill and overlay project on Maple Street from 10th to 17th Streets. Weather permitting, the project should be completed by the middle of next week. While work is underway, traffic will be diverted from the area. Drivers should consider alternate routes and drive safely and cautiously near this and all other work zones.
