Parsons residents may notice some workers going door-to-door this week.
Technicians from the Kansas Gas Service will be in Parsons in the coming days to relight gas customers after air was introduced into the system during some routine maintenance work. Homes and businesses in Parsons located between Corning Street and Southern Avenue and east of the railroad tracks to 10th Street will encounter workers. Those individuals will check to see if appliances are working properly. They will be wearing safety vests and will be happy to produce identification on request. For customers in the the area, an adult 18 years of age or older will need to be present for this process. If no one is available, technicians will leave door hangers with a callback number.
