The City of Coffeyville is looking for artists interested in submitting their work for murals on the city's railroad trestles.

 

Any artists or teams of artists interested in being selected to create a mural should submit a concept sketch, brief project description, and a sample of their work for possible selection for the project. Submission are due by September 30 with installation of the mural to occur from January to March of 2026.

 

Project Timeline:

• Submission Deadline: September 30, 2025

• Artist Selection: October 31, 2025

• Final Artwork Due: December 31, 2025

• Installation: January – March 2026

 

Funding for the project comes through a Kansas Department of Commerce Art and Mural grant and will provide for four, large-scale murals to be completed in the city. The murals should celebrate what makes Coffeyville special while inviting residents and visitor to view the community through a creative lens.
