A juvenile is in custody in northwest Arkansas after allegedly making threats against a school.
Police in Hackett, Arkansas, say the juvenile suspect was arrested on Monday after threats were made to the Hackett Public Schools in Sebastian County. Messages revealed the threat indicated that a shooting would take place at 9am on Tuesday. Investigators were able to trace the source of the threats and the juvenile suspect was identified and arrested on Monday afternoon.
Students in Hackett, located just south of Fort Smith, returned to class as usual after the Labor Day holiday, but district officials say there will be an increased security presence for the remainder of the week.
