The CVR Energy siren test is today in Coffeyville.
This morning at 10 a.m., CVR will conduct the siren test along with a drill of the emergency response plan. This is only a test and no action is required by residents.
In the event of an emergency, the “whoop” siren tone means to shelter in place and close off ventilation, while the “hi-lo” siren tone means that those east of Walnut and north of 1st Street should leave the area immediately.
During an emergency, the all-clear message will be broadcast over the siren system and on KGGF, KQQF and KUSN.
