Opioid Funds, 2026 County Budget on Agenda for Montgomery County Commission

The Montgomery County Commission is set to meet tonight to discuss the disbursement of opioid funds and the 2026 budget.

At today’s meeting, commissioners are expected to approve the publication of the revenue-neutral rate notice and of the hearing for the 2026 budget. Assistant County Administrator Kory White will also appear before the commission to request opioid funds for use by Hannah's House Ministries and Home Sweet Home, Inc.

Sheriff Ron Wade and representatives for the Department of Corrections will also be on hand to request approval for the installation of door access controls, while County Director of IT Jason Clubine will present a quote for work to be done by the Huber company.

Due to the Labor holiday, this week's meeting begins at 6pm tonight in the Commission Room on the lower level of the Judicial Center in Independence. The public is invited to attend in person or to view the meeting online via the County’s website.
