Two people are injured following an accident near the intersection of US-400 and US-99 near Severy.

The accident happened just before 8 yesterday morning when a Freightliner box truck collided with a Ford Transit van while making a turn off of US-400. The Freightliner struck the van on the driver's side of the vehicle. Of the seven people who were in the van, two were seriously injured. Those individuals have been identified as 46-year-old Amparo Puentes and 23-year-old Marian Sandoval, both of Wichita. Both women were taken to nearby hospitals for treatment. A 17-year-old male passenger in the van also received minor injuries in the accident.
