Claremore Teen Killed in Motorcycle Accident

 

An 18-year-old Claremore man is dead following a high-speed motorcycle accident in Rogers County.

 

According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, Joseph Bethea was traveling westbound on East County Road 450, just north of Claremore, yesterday evening when he struck the back of a 2013 Nissan Quest driven by 33-year-old May Chang of Collinsville. Authorities say Bethea was traveling at a high rate of speed when the collision occurred and suffered fatal injuries. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Chang was also injured in the accident.

 

The cause of the crash remains under investigation.
