Two Independence Men Seriously Injured in Crash

 

Two Independence men are seriously injured in a crash on US-160.

 

The accident occurred around 11:15 Wednesday morning about two miles east of Independence.  A 2024 Chevy Trax driven by 45-year-old William Wullenschneider was stopped in traffic while attempting to make a left turn onto north County Road 4500. His vehicle was rear-ended by a 2017 Ford F-150 driven by 28-year-old Colbie Sanders of Parsons. Sanders received minor injuries and was taken to Coffeyville Regional Medical Center. Wullenschneider and his 52-year-old passenger Timothy Lefever were both seriously injured and were taken to Labette Health.

 

All involved were wearing seatbelts when the crash occurred.
