Fall River Tradition to End After 65 Years

As September nears, an annual tradition in Fall River will not be happening.

According to a statement from the Fall River Booster Club, the annual free barbecue that normally takes place on the third weekend in September will not take place anymore.

Organizers cite rising costs, decreasing donations and a lack of manpower as reasons why the event will not continue. The event has been hosted each year since 1965.
