The City of Neodesha is expected to vote this afternoon to exceed the revenue-neutral rate for 2026.
The Neodesha City Commission will hold a public hearing at this afternoon's meeting to discuss the 2026 budget. The City is expected to exceed the revenue-neutral rate for the coming year. One of the major issues of concern is the City's ability to fully fund the Neodesha Fire Department and EMS services. Commissioners have asked for public input on the budget.
Also on the agenda is the expected approval of an ordinance to issue bonds for the final phase of the water project. City officials are also expected to announce the receipt of a Community Development Block Grant for the Brown Hotel Development Project.
This afternoon's meeting begins at 4pm in the commission room at the Neodesha City Hall. The meeting is open to the public.
