The City of Coffeyville is making good progress on the restoration of the Pfister Park Fountain.

The historic fountain was originally built in 1937 and has undergone a significant amount of work over the past few months to bring it back to working order. Earlier this summer, crews were busy sandblasting the old paint away and removing grime from the fountain’s surface. Last week, crews sealed the fountain and applied a durable, bright blue epoxy paint, specially chosen to match the fountain’s original color.

Repairs continue at Pfister Park in hopes of having the fountain up and running soon.
