The Coffeyville Water Department is honored by Atmos Energy.

Damage Prevention Manager Chris Fry says Atmos is giving the Water Department the Gold Safe Digging award.

This award is rare, with only two given out in the entire state of Kansas. Coffeyville City Manager Ben Brubaker says he is proud of the Water Department for being recognized for this award.
