The Kansas Senate president joins a crowded group of republican candidates for governor.
Senator Ty Masterson says what separates him from the other candidates is that he's closer to the people. Masterson says he understands that the biggest issue facing Kansans is property taxes.
Masterson joins seven other candidates for Kansas Governor, including former Governor Jeff Colyer, Secretary of State Scott Schwab and State Insurance Commissioner Vicki Scmidt. The primary election is Tuesday, August 4th, 2026.
