Fire crews respond when alarms go off at Eisenhower Elementary in Independence.

 

Firefighters and police were on the scene quickly when alarms went off just after 8am this morning. Responding crews quickly determined that the alarms had gone off in error and that there was no fire in the school building that is home to students in kindergarten through second grade.

 

Students were in the building when the alarm sounded, but all children and staff were safely evacuated until given the all-clear by firefighters.

 

All students and staff are safe, and no injuries were reported.
