The funding includes $12.9 million to be shared by 31 Oklahoma cities and counties, including Delaware, Mayes, and Rogers Counties, as well as the City of Miami and the Talequah Hospital Authority.
Grant funding totaling $3.7 million will also be distributed to 16 Oklahoma School Districts, including Adair, Broken Arrow, Jenks, Moore, Ponca City, and Talequah.
The grants will fund treatment and recovery programs, mental health assistance, opioid abuse education and strategies to decrease the supply of narcotics across the state.
