Montgomery County crews are making good progress on the resurfacing of a major county road.
That was the word this week from County Public Works Director Brandon Beurskins. County Commission Chair Mike Cordray asked Beurskins about progress on the resurfacing project on County Road 3900 that runs through Dearing between Independence and Coffeyville. Beurskins says the contractor on the project has taken full advantage of the recent paving-friendly weather.
The project began on August 4 with plans to resurface the roadway from US-166 to the State Fishing Lake turn off, just south of Independence. Completion of the work appears to be on schedule.
