Local Hardware Store Chain Sells

An area hardware store chain is being sold. Olson’s Ace Hardware in Coffeyville and Parsons isz being sold to Kansas City Westlake Ace Hardware. Westlake announced the agreement to buy the area stores on Wednesday afternoon. and says the acquisition will be effective on November 2nd.

 

Following the acquisition, the stores will be rebranded as Westlake Ace Hardware and remodeled later in 2026. The terms of the sale ensure a smooth transition, with the majority of current employees being retained and minimal disruption in day-to-day operations.

 

Charlie and Rosie Olson founded Olson’s Ace Hardware in 1956 in Parsons, Kan. Ben and Beth Ryan purchased the business in 2007. In 2019, Olson’s Ace added a second location in Coffeyville.

 

Westlake Ace has been part of the Ace Hardware Cooperative since 1959. From its headquarters in the Kansas City area, the company currently owns and operates more than 175 stores in 13 states. Westlake Ace is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Ace Retail Holdings. A division of Ace Hardware Corporation, Ace Retail Holdings currently owns and operates more than 250 Ace hardware stores nationwide..
