Three people face drug charges in Independence following a recent traffic stop.
At around 3:45am last Saturday morning, August 16, Independence Police officers conducted a traffic stop at the intersection of Hill and 1st Streets. An investigation during the course of the stop led to the arrest of all three occupants of the vehicle. Taken into custody were 29-year-old Destiny Freeman, 24-year-old Regan Myers, and 39-year-old Jeremiah McKenzie. All face multiple charges, including possession of opiates and drug paraphernalia.
