The Livestock Premium Sale wrapped up the livestock portion of the Interstate Fair and Rodeo.
Former Exhibitor and now Volunteer Maggie McVey says showing at the fair has made a lasting impact on her life. McVey says she encourages anyone who might be interested in showing to get involved with 4H or FFA.
106 animals from 88 exhibitors sold during the almost two and half hour sale, including 29 market barrows, 25 market lambs, 23 market goats, 23 market steers and six market broilers. 28 towns from all over Southeast Kansas and Northeast Oklahoma were represented during the sale from Bluejacket, Oklahoma to St. Paul, Kansas.
