Reports of a suspicious vehicle in Galena leads to a drug arrest.
On Wednesday afternoon, Galena Police received reports of a suspicious vehicle at a local gas station. Officers responded to the scene and made contact with the driver of a gray SUV. After an investigation, officers discovered a glass smoking device along with several plastic baggies containing a white crystalline substance. A search of the SUV also revealed bottles of pills, glass pipes, a bottle of synthetic urine, and suspected marijuana and methamphetamine.
The driver was taken into custody and taken to the Cherokee County Jail in Columbus. Formal charges are pending in the case.
