Parsons Man Arrested After Domestic Violence Investigation

A Parsons man is arrested on multiple felony and misdemeanor charges.

The Parsons Police Department arrested 26-year-old Malik Monta Robinson on charges from a domestic violence incident. In late July, officers responded to a domestic violence call. During the investigation, Robinson had fled the scene. Evidence gathered led to charges of aggravated battery, aggravated domestic battery, criminal restraint and domestic battery. An arrest warrant was issued for Robinson.

Yesterday, at around 1:30pm, officers went to an address in the 2700 block of Briggs Avenue to serve the arrest warrant. Robinson fled on foot. During a search of the area, Robinson was located hiding in a shed. He attempted to flee again but was taken into custody. Robinson appeared in Labette County District Court today on the charges outlined in the arrest warrant, along with an additional charge of felony interference with law enforcement.
