One of the best specialty acts in rodeo will once again be in Coffeyville tonight.

John Payne, better known as the One Arm Bandit, will perform at tonight's Inter-State Fair and Rodeo. Payne is from Schidler, Oklahoma and has had a long career despite several setbacks, including an electrical accident that resulted in the loss of his right arm.

Payne says he spends years training stock for his show, which includes a lot of expert riding.

Payne has won PRCA “Specialty Act of the Year” an unprecedented 15 times. While he's been to rodeos all over the country, he says he enjoys coming to Coffeyville.
