Two people are killed after being struck by cars in two separate incidents in the Wichita area.
The first incident occurred at a truck stop on I-135 north of the city around 5:30 last night. The person was walking in the parking lot when the accident occurred. Police are investigating the incident and have questioned a truck driver in connection to the crash.
The second incident occurred only an hour later on the south side of Wichita near the intersection of Harry and Rock Road. In that incident, a boy between the ages of 10 and 14 was struck and killed while crossing at the intersection. Two suspects attempted to flee the scene but were later taken into custody. Police have arrested a 24-year-old and a 19-year-old as suspects.
No names have been released in either incident.
