The Independence City Commission will meet tonight to address a brief agenda.
At tonight's meeting, commissioners will hear a presentation from the Montgomery County Action Council regarding a request for funding from the 2026 budget. There will also be a presentation from the Southeast Kansas Community Action Program with a similar request for General Public Transportation. The City Treasurer will also present the 2nd quarter report on City finances.
Tonight's meeting begins at 5:30 in the Commission Room at City Hall. The public is invited to attend or to view the meeting online via the City's website.
