The City of Parsons is set to begin fundraising for a new exercise pad to be located at Glenwood Park.
City Director of Economic Development Jim Zaleski says the funds will be held by the Parsons Community Development Fund.
In other business, city commissioners discussed a Memo of Understanding with the Parsons School District regarding the School Resource Officers and funding for the salaries for officers serving in those positions. A hearing date of September 15th was also set for dangerous and unsafe structures in the city, while commissioners also heard from concerned citizens about parking issues on city streets and possible repairs needed for basketball courts at both Watson and Greenwood Parks.
