USDA’s Agricultural Research Service's Americo Vega says the term farmers market can mean many different things. Vega says there are celebrations for farmers markets across the country.
Coffeyville's farmers market is open on Saturdays from 9:00am to Noon from May to October and Tuesdays from 3:30pm to 6:30pm from May to September. In Independence, the farmers market is open on Saturdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm from May to October and Wednesdays from 8:00am to 1:00pm from June to August.
