A two-vehicle accident in Crawford County near the Missouri state line leaves on person injured.
The accident occurred Tuesday morning at around 8:30 on K-171 about 4 miles from the Kansas/Missouri line. A 2008 Honda CR-V driven by 23-year-old Craig Farnsworth of Pittsburg was traveling southbound on South 260th Street near the intersection with K-171. Fransworth attempted to turn onto K-171 and failed to yield to westbound traffic. His vehicle was struck by a 2023 Nissan Pathfinder driven by 18-year-old Aidrian Short of Pineville, Missouri. The collision caused Short's vehicle to roll multiple times. A passenger in the Nissan – 65-year-old Sandra Chard of Bella Vista, Arkansas, suffered minor injuries. She was taken to Mercy Hospital in Pittsburg for treatment.
All involved were wearing seatbelts and no other injuries were reported.
