The Kansas Department of Transportation announces the awarding of a bid for a bridge replacement in Labette County.

The proposed project would replace the bridge over the Union Pacific railroad tracks on US-59. The bridge is located just over a mile north of US-400 near Parsons. The $7.9 million dollar project was awarded to Bridges, Inc., of Newton, Kansas.
