The arraignment for a man accused of killing two hikers in an Arkansas State Park last week is moved up to August 14.
28-year-old Andrew McCann of Springdale will face two charges of capital murder and enter his plea during that court appearance. The arranignment was originally scheduled for August 25. McCann is accused of killing Clinton and Cristen Brink at Arkansas' Devil's Den State Park on July 26th. The couple were hiking with their two young daughters when the attack occurred. Officials say Cristen Brink was able to get the two children to safety before returning to the scene to help her husband. A manhunt for the suspect quickly ensued, and McCann was taken into custody at a Springdale barbershop on July 30th.
Prosecutors say they will seek the death penalty in the case.
