A motion to apply for a USDA Rural Development grant is on the agenda for the city of Caney during tonight's regular session meeting.

 If approved, grant funding would be used to further a part of the water project, including the city's connection to Coffeyville, the replacement of aging water infrastructure, or the construction of a new water storage tank.

 The council is also expected to hear an update from Lori Patterson concerning the zoning committee, and discuss the city pool, flock cameras and the animal shelter in the meeting that begins at 6:30 tonight at the east entrance of city hall.

 A workshop regarding the 2026 budget will be held after the council meeting tonight.
