USD 446 Independence is getting ready to begin a new school year.

 

The district held in-person registration for students in the Independence Public Schools last week. Around 1600 students are set to begin classes next week. While there may be those who were unable to attend the registration, Superintendent Jason McAffee says those families are still able to register their students.

 

Independence will kick off the new school year with Indy Goes Back to School this Thursday evening at Riverside Park at 5:30. New Student orientation will be Friday morning at 8:30 at Independence Middle School. Freshman orientation will be on August 12.

 

All USD 446 students will begin classes on August 13.
