Chautauqua County is exploring options regarding a meal delivery service from the South Central Kansas Area Agency on Aging.

 

SCKAAA serves as a resource to ten different counties in Southeast and South Central Kansas, offering opportunities such as home care service, case management, and technical assistance. SCKAAA Executive Director Jodi Whitmore says another service they provide is meal delivery.

 

The contract with Everfull was recently terminated. Whitmore says there was a situation that has caused a lost vehicle for the service.

 

Following discussion, the commission elected to assist SCKAAA with financing mileage for the deliveries in the county, while personal vehicles are being used until a new vehicle is purchased or donated.
