The City of Miami is celebrating the grand opening of the new airport terminal at the Miami Regional Airport today.

 

The event will feature the new, state-of-the-art airport terminal. The formal opening ceremony begins this morning at 10am and will be followed by a reception and guided tours of the new facility. The City broke ground on the new $3.1 million facility in April 2024. The project was funded in part through grants from the Oklahoma Department of Aerospace and Aeronautics and the Federal Aviation Administration. The remainder of the project was paid for by the City of Miami.

 

The new terminal will serve business and industry in northeastern Oklahoma and is expected to boost economic growth and expansion in the area.

 

Today's grand opening event is open to the public.
