As summer continues, wasps become more active.

Kansas State University Entomologist Jeff Whitworth says there are two different types of wasps in Kansas and the differ from where their nests are built.

Whitworth says timing is important for effectively getting rid of a wasp nest.  Whitworth says cicada killers, yellow jackets and paper wasps are some of the most common ones found in Kansas.
