With the month of July coming to an end tomorrow is Independence's First Friday event for the month of August.

Chamber of Commerce President Lisa Wilson says they have some great speakers lined up including Lindsay Caldwell from Live Healthy Montgomery County.

Wilson says there will also be three speakers from Independence Public Schools.  USD 446 is the sponsor of the August First Friday. The event is open to the public and goes from 7:30am to 9:00am at the Civic Center.
