One more hot day continues ahead of an expected cool-down starting tomorrow.
Coffeyville could finally break 100 degrees today with a heat index of 107. A heat advisory will be in place for the entire four-state area today. A cold front will move through tomorrow, which will drop temperatures to the mid-80s tomorrow and lower 80s by Friday and Saturday. A 20-30% chance of rain will also be possible starting tonight through Friday. Overnight lows will also make it back down to the mid-60s, which will drop the animal comfort index out of heat danger and caution into the “comfortable” category for the next couple of days.
