An Ochelata man faces charges in Washington County after allegedly spitting on a sheriff's deputy.
40-year-old Robert Valentine appeared in a Washington County courtroom on Monday where he is charged with two felony counts of throwing or dropping an object on a vehicle and placing bodily fluids on a Government employee. Valentine was taken into custody following reports that he had broken the rear window of his neighbor's SUV before threatening to throw a rock at the vehicle. During his arrest, officers say Valentine spit on a sheriff's deputy and then called the arresting officers derogatory names.
Valentine's bond is set at $50,000. His next court date is August 8th.
