Montgomery County agrees to repairs to the intersection of South Buckeye Street and James School Road in Coffeyville.
At this week's county commission meeting, Public Works Director Brandon Beurskins advised commissioners of several options following an engineering report to repair the intersection after a pipe collapse. Beurskins suggested that commissioners opt for a slightly more expensive repair that would install new pipe beneath the intersection, stating that it would yield better results. Another option offered by the engineering analysis would be to remove the curve and turn the intersection into a T-junction with a turn lane. Beurskins says that would be the more expensive alternative.
Commissioners accepted Beurskins' recommendation. No date was given as to when the project would begin, but the project is expected to take 2 to 3 days to complete.
