The Montgomery County Fair in Independence gives area 4-Hers the chance to show off the results of their hard work and have some fun at the same time.
Members of the Fawn Creek 4-H Club from Caney and Tyro toured the fair exhibits on Saturday to see what their fellow club members have been working on throughout the year.
One member, Silas, says he had both indoor and outdoor exhibits.
Another Fawn Creek 4-Her named Piper was there to show swine. Piper says it takes a bit of practice to show a pig in the ring.
All of the 4-Hers were there to enjoy the fun and memories of the fair. Each one says they have a favorite part of the Montgomery County Fair.
Parents and adult leaders are also a common sight at the fair. Fawn Creek Community Leader and Fair Board Member Sharon Ward says 4-H is really a family effort.
T he Montgomery County 4-H Fair wraps up tonight with the Buyers' Supper at 5:30 followed by the Presentation of Awards and the Livestock Premium Sale at Riverside Park in Independence.
