The Oklahoma Highway Patrol reminds all drivers that, by law, all vehicles in use on Oklahoma roads must be in good working order.
The reminder comes after a pickup truck involved in a recent accident in the Oklahoma City area was found to have been using vise-grips attached to the steering column instead of a steering wheel. The two-ton vehicle was involved in a multi-vehicle accident on an interstate. Fortunately, no one was injured in the crash.
O-H-P reminds all drivers that operating a vehicle known to be in such an unsafe condition as to endanger any person is a misdemeanor.
