A heat advisory is in place across the four-state area through Wednesday.

Warm weather is expected to continue through mid-week, with a heat index up to 109 across the area. Montgomery County will see highs approach 100 today with a heat index of 107. The National Weather Service reminds all in the area to drink plenty of fluids, limit time outside if possible and check on relatives and neighbors.

Some relief is expected soon as a cold front is expected to move through mid-week, which will drop temperatures into the mid-80s by Thursday.
