Wilson County is being required to add oil insurance for upcoming asphalt road oil projects.

 

Coastal Energy, who supplies the road and bridge department with the asphalt road oil for road repair projects, is asking the county to add them to certificate of insurance for the duration of the project.

 

Road and Bridge Director Kary Tatum says this was a situation that developed pretty quickly.

 

No action was taken during the meeting regarding the matter, and County Coordinator Kris Marple met with county insurance representatives today.

 

Additional items of business at this week's meeting was an update from County Clerk Kayla Busch, and the commissioners approving the alumni dance to be held in the courthouse parking lot.
